Slim Jim eggplant
Solanum melongena

Small, elongated purple eggplants, 3 to 6 cm in diameter by 10 to 15 cm long. Compact plants well suited to container gardening. Very ornamental purple foliage. Productive. Very good flavor. Native to the USA. 60 days to maturity. Winner of Les Exceptionnelles 2020

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 10 to 14 weeks before the last frost. Transplant when temperature is above 10°C. Requires heat for germination, ±30 °C. 6 mm deep. 60 cm between plants.

Germination: 80% in November 2024
