Violette of Florence eggplant
Solanum melongena

Round eggplant of purple color. 15 to 20 cm diameter. White flesh, with very few seeds. Excellent flavor. Plant of 80 cm to 1 meter in height. Originally from Italy. 75 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 10 to 14 weeks before the last frost. Transplant when temperature is above 10°C. Requires heat for germination, ±30 °C. 6 mm deep. 60 cm between plants.
