Cucumis melo var. cantalupensis

Small Charentais-type cantaloupe. 2 to 3 pounds. Sweet, fragrant orange flesh. Creeping stems about 1 metre long. A heirloom variety from Italy, popular in France and sought after by gourmets. 75 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. 1 cm deep. 30 cm between plants. Protect against cold nights at the beginning and end of the season.
