Tomato Cherokee Green Pear
Solanum lycopersicum

Superb little green pear-shaped tomato, 4 x 6 cm. Excellent flavor, very juicy. Develops a light amber color when ripe. Plant height 1.50 m. Very productive. Good resistance to diseases. Discovered among Cherokee Green tomato plants by Marianna Jones (Marianna’s Heirloom Seeds), Tennessee. Indeterminate. 70 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before last frost. 5 mm deep. 60 cm between plants.

My favorite tomato of 2013, this is a small, early tomato that tastes just like a big tomato! A mutation of the Cherokee Green variety (big beefsteak).
