Bean Amarillo
Phaseolus vulgaris

Bush yellow french filet bean. Round, 10 to 12 cm long, slender and stringless. Very tasty. Productive plant, 30 to 45 cm tall. Good resistance to diseases. The pod remains thin for a long time on the plant for a wider harvest window. 53 days to maturity. Winner of Les Exceptionnelles 2022.

Sow directly outdoors in early June at 2 cm depth and 15 cm apart.

Germination: 94% in December 2025

Amarillo Bean was distributed by Johnny’s Selected Seeds in the USA between 2010 and 2012. I’m pretty glad I bought it back then, because today we’re the only ones to have it in the catalog.
