Bean Ice
Phaseolus vulgaris
Small, unique green-white beans, 5 to 6 cm long, round and curved. When harvested young, it is a juicy, crunchy all-rounder, excellent for eating raw. Bush or semi-climbing plant, depending on growing conditions. 50 cm to 1.20 meter high. Small white seed. An excellent dry bean that shells easily. Heirloom variety (1845). 50 days to maturity (90 days dry).
Full sun, well drained soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 10 days before. 2 cm deep. 15 cm between plants.
Germination: 98% in December 2025
