Broad-leaf cress
Lepidium sativum
A variety of Alenois cress that is very slow to bolt. Forms a rosette of small, broad leaves. Good crunchy texture and peppery flavour. Add to salads, sandwiches, soups… Up to 30 cm high. Well-suited to container and aeroponic gardening. Harvest between 20 and 50 days after sowing.
Full sun to part shade. Well drained soil. Direct sowing from 3 weeks before the last frost. 2 mm deep. 10 cm between plants. Germinates rapidly in 3 to 5 days.
Germination: 90% in November 2023
