Casper eggplant
Solanum melongena

Very productive and early white eggplant. 15-25 cm in length and 8 cm in diameter. White flesh with few seeds. Good fleshy texture. Would supposedly have a slight mushroom flavor. Large, solid plant from 65 cm to 1 meter in height that rarely needs to be staked. Withstands cool conditions well. Originally from France. 75 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 10 to 14 weeks before the last frost. Transplant when temperature is above 10°C. Requires heat for germination, ±30 °C. 6 mm deep. 60 cm between plants.
