Germination: 78% in November 2025
Ecological seeds produced at Catherine’s Ornamental Garden.
Note:This is one of our favorites, with a wonderful taste of ‘come again’ and ‘I can’t stop eating ’em’, ‘I ate too much’ and finally ‘I have to pee’…
Perfect for snacking right in the garden. If you want to harvest without cracking and losing juice, turn the tomato instead of pulling. Even better is to cut off the whole vine – it’s quicker.
There’s a lot of confusion about the Latin name of Coyote tomato. It is not always described as a currant (s. pimpinellifolium). We have grown White currant at the same time, and have come to the conclusion that the two are identical. They’re also identical to Petit Moineau in terms of tomato size, plant shape and hardiness. The Orange currant is a little smaller and more acidic, and the same goes for the Red currant. There’s also another red currant called‘Spoon‘. But the best, in my opinion of course, is always the Coyote/White currant. A real treat!
