Eggplant Kamo
Solanum melongena

Round eggplant, 10 to 15 cm in diameter, very dark purple in color. A heirloom variety from Japan. Plant 60 cm high and 30 cm wide. Early and productive eggplant. Very good flavor. 65 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 10 to 14 weeks before the last frost. Transplant when temperature is above 10°C. Requires heat for germination, ±30 °C. 6 mm deep. 60 cm between plants.

Germination: 87% in December 2025
