Runner bean Moonlight
Phaseolus coccineus

Pole bean. Over 3 metres high. A minimum 2-meter support is required. The 20-30 cm-long pods are green, smooth, stringless and delicious. Very abundant production. Unlike other runner beans, Moonlight is self-fertile (it doesn’t need pollination), so it produces lots of pods. White flowers.

Full sun, rich and well drained soil. Sow directly after any risk of frost, or indoors 2 to 3 weeks before. 5 cm deep, 15 cm apart.
