Note
One morning I met my neighbor and she asked me if I had any pumpkin seeds, her favorite squash, the only squash she wants to grow because pumpkins are so good! That was back in 2005. I was already growing quite a few varieties of squash, but I didn’t have any pumpkins. I don’t know if it’s the same for all seed growers, but every time someone asks me for seeds of a variety I don’t have, I feel bad… And I organize myself to get some the following year! After a long search (it must be said that pumpkins were rare in those years in Quebec), I found my happiness at Graines Baumaux in France. The Potimarron Français was my “coup de coeur” in 2006. It produces well, is early, and when it comes to flavor and texture, it’s true that pumpkins are just too good!

Je les conserve jusqu’à là mi-mars. Excellent en potage et en plats mijotés. L’essayer c’est l’adopter.

Effectivement, très bonne saveur, difficile donc d’évaluer la conservation… J’en ai fait de délicieux pains.
