Rose campion
Lychnis coronaria

Biennial or short-lived perennial. Magenta flowers and downy grey foliage. 65 cm high. Blooms in July and August. Hardiness zone 3.

Full sun, dry soil. Direct sowing from May to July or indoor sowing in mid-April. Seeds need light to germinate, do not cover. 45 cm between plants. Re-seeds itself without being invasive. Does not bloom the first year.
