Glycine max

Large size black seeded soybeans. Excellent edamame with a sweet pea flavor, more flavorful than the pale grain soybeans. Also very good for dry cooking. Plant of 70 cm height and more, may need a support. Very productive. Native to northern Japan.
85 days (edamame) and +105 days (dry).

Full sun, well drained soil. Direct sowing from mid-May to mid-June. 2 cm deep. 30 cm apart.

Germination: 95% in December 2025
