Pattypan Benning’s Green Tint
Curcurbita pepo
Pale green, almost white. Very good flavor. Harvest when young, between 6 and 10 cm in diameter. Can be eaten raw or cooked. Non-creeping plant that can become large in fertile soil, 3 to 6 feet wide. Mature fruit has a long shelf life and, once the rind has been removed, can be used in soups, purées, cakes, etc. An heirloom variety that was grown before the 1900s. 50 days.
Full sun, well-drained, rich soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 2 to 5 weeks before. Protect young plants from insects. 2 cm deep. 60 cm between plants.
Germination: 95% in December 2025

Wow! Immense plant avec une grande quantité de fruits produits sur une longue période. Fruit très jolis et croquants, demeurent avec une belle texture même si on les laisse un peu grossir. 1 seul plant suffit pour toute une famille!
