Description
Ibis lettuce
Lactuca sativa
Beautiful, flavorful lettuce. Large, wavy, red leaves with a light green base. Would be a type of lettuce for cutting, but looks more like an open-headed romaine (or semi-romaine). Tolerates heat and cool conditions. Harvest as needed. A rare variety.
Indoor sowing in April or direct sowing from May. Sow in August for a fall harvest. 6 mm deep. 30 cm between plants.
Germination: 92% in November 2024
Ecological seeds produced at Catherine’s Ornamental Garden.
